More Miracles

6 01 2009

Funny, it seems no matter what you say, people will believe what they want in the face of any evidence. I was skimming though some anti-God websites. One asked why God does not heal amputees. Well God does and has many times. I emailed them and mentioned that, and offered some references. Since what I told them was not found on Wikipedia, they discounted everything I said. I guess Wikipedia is the new standard of truth.

It is amazing that someone can spend so much time bashing something they don’t believe in. If there is no God, why bother putting up a website about it? Just go about you business and leave the crazy God loving people to themselves.

Maybe I should start a website refuting existence of Santa Clause.

Sunday morning at church a friend of mine was healed of chronic back pain. Sunday night we had two people each healed of deafness in one ear. Those are just the latest in a long list of miraculous healings I have seen over my life time.

Here are a few more.

My wife was told by her doctor there was no way we could have children without medical intervention. We never had any futility treatment, counseling, or anything else. We just left it up to God and did our part :) We had our first child 11 months after getting married.

In a prayer meeting a chuch member related that he had been told he has prostate cancer. He went for regular checkups to keep an eye on it. His PSA went up to 29. (I don’t know what a PSA is, but it should be about 2, or you have problems.) The doctor wanted to operate right away. He told the doctor he wanted to wait. He came to prayer meeting and we prayed for him. At his next check up, his PSA went to 1.9. The doctor said it was a miracle. He had no more prostate cancer. Later they found a spot on his lung. (He told the doctor to clean the lens). Again we prayed. When he went back for more tests, the spot was no where to be found.

Last year, my daughter, 8 years old at the time, prayed for a teenager who had just knocked his knee out of place. His knee instantly went back in to place.

At a home Bible study I went to, the hosts had a small child with a fever of 105. We prayed for him. The fever was gone in 15 minutes.

Those are just some of the miracles I have first hand knowledge of. Others I know about from people I know and trust, some with medical evidence to back them up.

I didn’t write these in the blog to try and prove God. As I said at first, He is, or not. But if you need a miracle, why not give God a shot? It’s pretty simple. Ask Him yourself – “Are there or not?” If He is, He will answer. He will meet your need. But your greatest need is for spiritual re-birth. He wants to meet that need more than anything. All the miracles and blessings would be meaningless if you spend your life and then eternity apart from the Savior who paid for your life with His blood.

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood.”
Romans 3:23-25

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23

“if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 5:1
